The Project WYAP – Women and Youth Agents of Peace is active in the Southern Caucasus, reaching out to the people in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Through targeted educational programs and collaborative platforms, this project will empower women and youth as integral agents of peace – enhancing their capacities, networks, and visibility in the peace-building processes across the region, and thereby contributing to a more resilient and peaceful Southern Caucasus.

The project is a cooperation between World Future Council (WFC) with its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany and Democracy Today, based in Armenia. While the World Future Council strives to reach its broader goals of safeguarding the rights of future generations, sustainable development, and human rights advocacy, and Democracy Today (DT) brings local knowledge and expertise in women’s rights and civil engagement in Armenia and provides an extensive network and understanding of the local socio-political landscape. The Project is also incorporated in the LAW not WAR campaign, underscoring its shared commitment to peaceful, legal resolutions over conflict, emphasising the pivotal role women fulfil as agents of legal and social change in the Southern Caucasus.
