Amir Roughani

CEO and founder of VISPIRON

Amir Roughani was born in Isfahan/Iran in 1975, but lives in Germany since he is 11 years old. He is an industrial engineer and a serial entrepreneur since 2002. By now about 600 people work in his business group VISPIRON.  The business group provides more than 300 customers from across the globe with solutions and services in engineering, measurement technology, fleet management and energy.

Annual revenues of around 50 Mio Euros are generated with digitisation and renewable energy, that currently supplies electricity for around 50.000 people.

In 2014, he received the award “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young in the category IT and service.

He is a member of  the advisory board of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for the issues of medium-sized companies, is involved in climate protection and supports various social projects.

For him, renewable energy is not only the solution to climate change – he is convinced that it can help achieve peace, justice and an increased local added value for people. According to Amir, economic growth should be transferred on sustainable fundaments, otherwise it will come to an ecological and economical dead end.
