Samia Kassid

Senior Programme Manager – Rights of Children and Youth.

Samia joined the World Future Council as Senior Programme Manager for the Rights of Children and Youth in May 2014. Samia has several years of experience in working for children’s rights and advocacy work. She is a member of the board of the German National Coalition – network for the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Child and is a member of the Advisory Council of the M.A. Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights at Potsdam, University of Applied Sciences.

Before joining the World Future Council, she worked as a Child Rights Advisor for Plan International Germany. As an expert for children’s rights, she was active in German and international networks and alliances that work for the rights of children in Germany and worldwide. In her personal life, she has been socially engaged for decades. Samia has a degree in national economy with a focus on development cooperation and environmental policy.
