Marie Biermann

Marie Biermann is a new board member of the World Future Council as of July 1, 2022.

Marie is a fully qualified lawyer, founder and former managing director of a company for consulting and conceptualization of sustainable brand management (Nachhaltigkeitsmanagment). She was a member of the research group for marine and terrestrial conservation law at the Chair of Environmental Law and Public Economic Law at the University of Rostock and worked on an international DFG project, as well as commenting on the environmental law part of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. In addition, she worked for ICLEI, an international environmental organization in South Africa. There she managed international projects, developed and implemented internal governance structures and steering systems.

Marie’s work for the World Future Council will focus in particular on the strategic development of the organization, foundation management, human resources and legal issues.
