Celebrating Innovative Biodiversity Policy Solutions

2010 marked the International Year of Biodiversity, a celebration of biological diversity and its value for life on Earth. The World Future Council chose the topic of biodiversity for the Future Policy Award 2010 to raise awareness about its acute loss, which is threatening wildlife, the environment and our common future. In the face of the looming biodiversity crisis, policymakers must work urgently towards ambitious and comprehensive biodiversity policies. The award ceremony was held in partnership with the UN Convention on Biodiversity (CBD) during the 10th Conference of the Parties of the CBD in Nagoya, Japan.
