Ismail Özen-Otto

Founder of the „Kampf deines Lebens“ Foundation, Professional Boxer

Ismail Özen-Otto was born in Hamburg in 1981. The professional boxer of Kurdish heritage has dedicated his life to sports and became German Champion in 2009. Today he combines his passion for boxing with social and political commitment. His foundation “Kampf deines Lebens” (“Battle of your Life”) focuses on violence prevention and imparting of values to children and youths, especially to young people from immigrant or refugee families. He aims to help socially discriminated and violent youth to integrate into society sustainably.

He is married to Janina Özen-Otto, who are both actively involved with the work on Rights of Children and Youth within the World Future Council. Ismail Özen-Otto became WFC ambassador in November 2017.
