Annika Weis

Junior Project Manager – Rights of Children

Annika joined the World Future Council as Junior Project Manager for the rights of children in May 2020. Annika has a background in public international law, and holds a Master’s degree (LLM) from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree (LLB) from the University of Groningen, specialising in international human rights law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law. She has worked at the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (NL), where she addressed the legal implications of alleged international crimes in various countries around the world, and the University of Kent (UK), as well as in various posts in her native Germany.

Starting her professional career at the WFC, Annika is particularly interested in explaining legal rights to a wider audience, and assisting their integration into a progressive policy framework. In her own time, Annika remains enthusiastic about improving access to the legal profession, building upon her work representing the student body at Groningen and LSE.
