Als erster und einziger Bangladescher war er von 2014-2017 der 28. Pr\u00e4sident der IPU. Der IPU geh\u00f6ren derzeit 179 nationale Parlamente mit weit \u00fcber 45.000 Parlamentsmitgliedern an, die wiederum 6,5 Milliarden Menschen auf der ganzen Welt vertreten. F\u00fcr seine herausragende Arbeit und seinen Dienst als IPU-Pr\u00e4sident haben ihn die Russische F\u00f6deration und Vietnam mit einer ihrer h\u00f6chsten nationalen Auszeichnungen, dem \u201eOrden der Freundschaft\u201c, geehrt.<\/p>\n<p>In seiner bemerkenswerten Karriere hat Herr Chowdhury in verschiedenen Funktionen und Verantwortungsbereichen im Parlament, in der Regierung, in politischen Parteien und in der Sportverwaltung hervorragende Arbeit geleistet.<\/p>\n<p>Unter seiner dynamischen F\u00fchrung erlangte Bangladesch den Test-Status im Kricket, der Bangladesh Cricket Board erhielt die h\u00f6chste nationale Auszeichnung Bangladeschs \u2013 den Independence Day Award im Jahr 2000 \u2013 und er ist der einzige Bangladescher, dem die Ehrenmitgliedschaft auf Lebenszeit des Marylebone Cricket Club, Lords, England, verliehen wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Als aktiver Parlamentarier, der nun seine vierte Amtszeit absolviert, ist er derzeit Vorsitzender des St\u00e4ndigen Parlamentsausschusses f\u00fcr das Ministerium f\u00fcr Umwelt, Forstwirtschaft und Klimawandel und auch Mitglied des Parlamentsausschusses f\u00fcr das Planungsministerium.<\/p>\n<p>Er initiierte den Vorschlag f\u00fcr eine neue Bestimmung in der Verfassung von Bangladesch, die sich auf den Schutz und die Verbesserung der Umwelt und der biologischen Vielfalt (Artikel 18A) als eines der Grundprinzipien der staatlichen Politik bezieht.<\/p>\n<p>Neben der Einf\u00fchrung und erfolgreichen Erprobung der Private Member Legislation zur Kriminalisierung von Folter im Strafvollzug und der Aufhebung des Leper\u2019s Act, der die Segregation f\u00f6rderte, entwarf und beantragte er die Motion on Planetary Emergency, die den Klimawandel, die Intensit\u00e4t und H\u00e4ufigkeit von Katastrophen, die Nachhaltigkeit der Ressourcen, den Verlust der biologischen Vielfalt und der \u00d6kosysteme, die Ern\u00e4hrungssicherheit und den Wassernotstand thematisiert.<\/p>\n<p>Er ist Absolvent der School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, und hat einen Joint Honors-Abschluss in Wirtschaft und Politik sowie ein Diplom in Rechtswissenschaften der University of Westminster, Vereinigtes K\u00f6nigreich, erworben, nachdem er die akademische Phase f\u00fcr die Zulassung zur Anwaltschaft abgeschlossen hatte.<\/p>\n<p>Er ist Ratsmitglied des World Future Council.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":16,"featured_media":43982,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[113],"tags":[613],"class_list":["post-47283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-unkategorisiert","tag-ratsmitglieder"],"featured_image_src":"https:\/\/www.worldfuturecouncil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Saber-Hossain-Chowdhury.png","author_info":{"display_name":"Damian Cramer","author_link":"https:\/\/www.worldfuturecouncil.org\/de\/author\/damian_wfc\/"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
