Sie wurde in einer kleinen Stadt in \u00c4thiopien geboren und besuchte die Grund- und Sekundarschule, w\u00e4hrend sie mit ihrer Familie in verschiedene St\u00e4dte des Landes reiste. Etsegenet erwarb 2022 ihren Bachelor-Abschluss in Jura an der Universit\u00e4t Hawassa. W\u00e4hrend ihres Studiums engagierte sie sich in verschiedenen Freiwilligendiensten, wodurch sie einen Beitrag zum Werdegang anderer junger Menschen leisten konnte. Als Studentin koordinierte sie ein Jahr lang die Jugendarbeit der UNA-ET (United Nations Associations of Ethiopia), indem sie Aktivit\u00e4ten f\u00fcr verschiedene Projekte und Kampagnen entworf und durchf\u00fchrte, die sich auf die nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele der UN konzentrieren. Etsegenet arbeitete ein Jahr lang als Freiwillige in der Abteilung f\u00fcr ausw\u00e4rtige Beziehungen an der Universit\u00e4t, an der sie studierte, indem sie in verschiedenen Bereichen internationaler Beziehungen half. Au\u00dferdem half sie w\u00e4hrenddessen im Rechtshilfezentrum \u201eMizan\u201c in der Stadt Hawassa, wo sie ihr Studium abschloss, indem sie ein Jahr lang kostenlose Rechtshilfe f\u00fcr unterprivilegierte Gesellschaftsmitglieder leistete. Etsegenet konnte ein Jugendprojekt namens \u201eAfla\u201c ins Leben rufen und eine Zeitschrift namens \u201eAfla\u201c herausgeben, in der junge Menschen ihre Stimme zu verschiedenen Themen erheben k\u00f6nnen. Derzeit arbeitet sie als Rechtspraktikantin bei der \u00e4thiopischen Menschenrechtskommission. Au\u00dferdem moderiert sie eine Radiosendung mit dem Titel \u201eWhat Does the Law Says\u201c, die von \u201eAHADU\u201c, einem einflussreichen Radiosender in \u00c4thiopien, ausgestrahlt wird, Der sich auf rechtliche Fragen konzentriert.<\/p>\n<p>Vor allem macht es ihr Spa\u00df, an Menschenrechtsprojekten teilzunehmen und mitzuarbeiten. Etsegenet hat die gro\u00dfartige Idee und den Wunsch, eine Bewegung f\u00fcr die Rechte von Kindern und Jugendlichen zu schaffen. Sie w\u00fcnscht sich junge Menschen, die aktiv sind und bessere Ideen f\u00fcr Ver\u00e4nderungen in \u00c4thiopien und Afrika entwickeln.
