Er ist derzeit Ehrenpr\u00e4sident des Club of Rome, leitender Berater des Stockholm Environment Institute und Vorsitzender der Swedish Association of Recycling Industries. Seit M\u00e4rz 2017 ist Anders au\u00dferdem Vorstandsvorsitzender von Climate-KIC \u2013 der gr\u00f6\u00dften \u00f6ffentlich-privaten Partnerschaft f\u00fcr kohlenstoffarme und klimafreundliche L\u00f6sungen und Innovationen in der EU.<\/p>\n<p>Anders war Generalsekret\u00e4r des Schwedischen Roten Kreuzes, Generalsekret\u00e4r der Schwedischen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Naturschutz und Direktor von SAREC (Swedish Agency for Research Cooperation with Developing Countries), Beigeordneter Generalsekret\u00e4r der Vereinten Nationen und Policy Director des UNDP(1995-1997), sowie Mitglied des Europ\u00e4ischen Parlaments (1999-2009). Von 2015 bis 2016 stand Anders dem partei\u00fcbergreifenden Komitee f\u00fcr \u00f6kologische Ziele vor, das eine langfristige Klimaschutzstrategie f\u00fcr Schweden erarbeitete. \u00dcber den Entwurf wird im Juni 2017 im Schwedischen Reichstag abgestimmt.<\/p>\n<p>Anders ist Mitglied der K\u00f6niglich Schwedischen Akademie der Wissenschaft, des World Future Council und dem International Resource Panel.
