Er verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber langj\u00e4hrige und hochrangige Erfahrung und Referenzen in der Reflexion, Vertretung und Einbeziehung von Umweltbelangen in die \u00f6ffentliche Politik zur F\u00f6rderung der nachhaltigen Entwicklung, sowie \u00fcber nachgewiesene F\u00fchrungsqualit\u00e4ten, um Ver\u00e4nderungen und Umgestaltungen in nationalen, regionalen und multilateralen Kontexten zu erleichtern.<br \/>\nEr war Minister f\u00fcr Umwelt und Stadtentwicklung in Benin (1999-2005) und ehemaliger Exekutivsekret\u00e4r des UNCCD (2007-2013). In der letztgenannten Funktion hat er sich bei den Verhandlungen im Vorfeld des Rio+20-Gipfels 2012 f\u00fcr eine nachhaltige Landentwicklung eingesetzt und ist der Architekt des Konzepts \u201eLand Degradation Neutrality (LDN)\u201c von \u201eThe Future We Want\u201c, das nun als SDG-Ziel 15.03 in die Entwicklungsagenda 2030 aufgenommen wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Zusammen mit seinem Sohn besitzt er eine st\u00e4dtische Farm in den Vororten von Cotonou, die sich der \u00f6kologischen Landwirtschaft widmet.<\/p>\n<p>Luc Gnacadja ist derzeit Vorsitzender der wissenschaftlichen Arbeitsgruppe und Mitglied des Beirats f\u00fcr die UN-Dekade zur Wiederherstellung von \u00d6kosystemen 2021-2030 und Vorsitzender des Strategischen Rates des Sahara- und Sahel-Observatoriums (OSS).
