Im Jahr 2013 wurde der Preis f\u00fcr politische Initiativen verliehen, die nachweislich zur Abr\u00fcstung und damit zur F\u00f6rderung von Frieden und nachhaltiger Entwicklung beitragen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Die feierliche Preisverleihung fand am Abend des 23. Oktober im UN-Hauptquarter in New York statt. Angela Kane, UN-Hochkommissarin f\u00fcr Abr\u00fcstungsfragen, hielt die Er\u00f6ffnungsrede und \u00fcberbrachte eine Gru\u00dfbotschaft von UN-Generalsekret\u00e4r Ban Ki-Moon.
