Policy Roadmap for 100% Renewable Energy and Poverty Eradication in Tanzania

In November 2016 at the UN COP22 in Marrakesh/ Morocco, 48 countries committed to “strive to meet 100% domestic renewable energy production as rapidly as possible while working to end energy poverty, protect water and food security, taking into consideration national circumstances”1. These 48 countries are among the most vulnerable countries and are united as the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF). Tanzania is one of these countries.

The Bregenz Declaration – A Call to our Collective Consciousness

Unless we change course we are heading for unprecedented dangers and conflicts, including the end of human civilisation in the foreseeable future, depriving all future generations of their right to life and the lives of preceding generations of meaning and purpose. Policies to improve access to work for people with disabilities awarded in Vienna

One billion people worldwide live with a disability and have limited access to healthcare, education and employment. To counter their exclusion from the labour market, the government and the private sector can play a vital role. From February 22-24, over 500 participants attended the annual Zero Project Conference at the United Nations Office in Vienna to celebrate the most innovative policies and practices that improve the access to vocational training and work for persons with disabilities.
