Fabio Feldmann, Brazilian environmental legislator
Fabio Feldmann is an environmentalist, consultant, Company Manager and Executive Secretary of the Paulista Forum on Global
Climate Change and Biodiversity. He was founding member and first president of S.O.S. Mata Atlântica Foundation and winner of the "Global 500" prize. He served as board member to many International NGOs including Conservation International and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and nowadays serves as board member in Greenpeace International, The Nature Conservancy – Brazil, Friends of the Earth Brazil, among others. He was a Federal Legislator for three consecutive terms (1986 – 1998) and was the major author of the chapter about the environment in the text of the Brazilian Federal Constitution. He was appointed Secretary for the Environment of the State of São Paulo (1995-1998), Executive Secretary of Brazilian Forum on Climate Change and served as personal representative of the Brazilian President on Rio+10.
