WFC Trainees and Interns

Malte Arhelger, Intern Future Justice

Malte joined the WFC in March 2010 as a future-justice intern. His main fields of activity are research on statistical indicators to assess policy impacts on future generations and the promotion of an ombudsman for future generations at the European Parliament.

At the same time Malte is completing degrees in political science and political philosophy at Sciences Po Paris. He has studied in Nancy, Helsinki, Paris and Louvain-La-Neuve. His Master’s thesis deals with some problems of intergenerational justice from the perspective of analytical philosophy.

Before joining the WFC Malte interned at the European Commission (DG Employment) where he learned a lot about European demography. He has also interned at the German Embassy in Niger, where he worked on energy policy and food security. In his leisure time Malte does even more political work and collects jazz vinyl from Europe and Africa.
